New Life

Jesus 6 11 wehre do you need to expereince Jesus good news renewal

New life is all part of life. What do I mean? Well, God tells us to go into the world and bring life. That happens in many forms. Life can mean babies… Which are the most amazing gift the Lord could ever give us! I know, I have been blessed twice by just such a gift! I have two beautiful daughters who have grown into amazing young women. That is one of the ways we bring life into the world. My prayer is that these two amazing gifts that the Father has given me will also be gifts to the world. I know both of them have so much to give to the world. In fact they have already done so much in their young lives that have brought joy to the people around them. Life is a way to bring a fresh new perspective to the world. Sometimes this life is exactly what is needed in a certain area that will bring smiles to people who are in your path. And you know what, if that’s all it is, then it is absolutely amazing to those people that it affects.

Think about your interactions throughout your day, each day. Do you bring joy to people, do you make people smile? It is important. The Lord puts people in our path, on purpose. Often those people just need a smile, need to know someone notices them… Sees them. Do you see people? People bring life to others and in that moment, that life makes them realize they are noticed, they are important. God loves each one of us and He cherishes and loves us. We should love others and we do that by bringing life to them. Bringing life means enabling a newness to be felt. A newness that just might give someone a hope that either they never had or a hooe that had been lost.

Life is how we truly live.  Life as the Lord provides us is new life. When we come to Him and accept Him, Jesus, as our Savior, then He makes us new. We are washed by the blood of Jesus and we become brand new creations as His children who abide in Him.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.        2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

A baby is born, just like you and I come into to the world as new people when we receive Christ into our hearts. We are new and fresh and pure when the Lord cleanses us from our sins. Let us be ones who spread new life as we share the good news about the One who is good and who can make us new… Live like a newborn baby!

Look at your life today and see how you can fill others with life… Even if it is just with a smile. Let those around you know that you see them, that they are noticed, that they have a purpose. Maybe that is why you are here… To breathe life into others!

Right or Wrong…?

right or wrong

How do you know what is right and wrong? How do we really know? Well, we have that inner voice, that feeling inside us, that helps us know. You know what I am talking about. When you do something that isn’t right, or react in a way that isn’t kind and loving, you know, you feel it in your gut. Yes? You know exactly what I am thinking about right? The truth is, the feeling you get is the presence of the Holy Spirit inside of you guiding you in the way of righteousness…

But when He, the Spirit of truth, shall come, He will guide you into the truth. For He will not speak from Himself, but whatever He may hear, He will speak. And He will declare to you the things coming. John 16:13 (NASB)

So, let’s sort this out. When we have the Holy Spirit in us, He guides us in the ways that are right, doing good instead of bad. Well, in order to have the Holy Sprirt inside of us, we must have accepted Jesus.  If you haven’t done that, you might not know how or even understand it. Well to begin with, God the Father sent His son, Jesus,  to the earth so that we could be forgiven of our sins, all of them… Even the ones we would commit!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NASB)

Why did the Father do that? Because of His amazing love for us…all of us. The Father provided grace and forgiveness for His people and a chance at a relationship with Him, not only now on earth but also eternally in Heaven.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Colossians 1:13-14 (NLT)

The key is that we have to choose to accept this awesome gift the Father has made available to us to be able to receive this hope and promise of a life with Him, forever. I love how the Message Bible explains this gift of forgiveness and grace…

But in our time something new has been added. What Moses and the prophets witnessed to all those years has happened. The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in him. For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:21-24 (MSG)

It is our choice, though it is inately inside of us. Because the Father created us, we will ultimately desire Him, even if we don’t fully understand that. Thus, our also inate desire to do good over evil. People might call it being moral, which is true. Morality consists of choosing right over wrong. But it’s much more than that… The Father created us to be righteous, though satan and the world distracts us with sin. We have to choose to do right and to follow Jesus. In that, God gives us strength and even provides a way out.

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.  1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG)

Ultimately, though, each person has to choose to have a relationship with the Father through Jesus. It is the only way to the Father…

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.  John 14:6 (NASB)

To do this, one must confess their sins before God and ask for forgiveness. Once that is done, God the Father, who loves us so much, will cover you with new life in Christ Jesus.

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10 (NASB)

As we receive Jesus, we also receive the Holy Sprit who then will help guide us in the way of righteousness. All we have to do is listen for what to do. We will know in our spirit the way to go. As we grow closer to God the Father, the more we will feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit in the right ways to go. I wouldn’t want it any other way. This world and this life is too hard. Why try to go it alone, we have help… Utilize it.

Life can be hard. Sometimes it can be almost unbearably. Sound familiar? It certainly does to me. You know what though? The crazy thing is, even when I was not in a close, intimate relationship with God, He was still there with me through each of those times. I remember calling out to Him, even though I wasn’t sure who He really was and if He would even hear me. Yet, I still called out to my Father. Knowing my Father God now, as I do, I bet He put that in us. That desire for Him, even if we don’t understand it, we subconsciously know He is there with us and we want Him. We see all throughout God’s Word that He is there, we merely have to call on Him, cry out to Him, even holler for Him. Use the voice that the Creator gave you and He will come… Awesome! Let’s look at some of those verses with that amazing promise…

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. (Psalm 50:15)

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. (Psalms 145:18-19 NKJV)

It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. (Isaiah 65:24 NKJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.  (Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV)

Just by reading these verses, we should feel a peace. In fact, more than just peace, I feel arms around me, giving me a hug… The Father’s arms surrounding me with His love and protection and His promises. Wow. What an amazing Father we have. He loves us so much. Yes, there will be trials and pain in life, even if you are a believer of Jesus. He tells us that. He also tells us that He is there to help us through and even that they won’t be there forever. Moreover, the more we persevere, the more we have to look forward to as we receive the Kingdom of Heaven in our hearts.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.  James 1:12 (NASB)

Even in my darkest times, having that hope was what sustained me. It became my strength, my cheerleader, if you will, to encourage me to keep going. The hope of the Lord is the most amazing thing. Why? Because it is real.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 (NIV)

If you believe it, you will feel it and you will feel Him. He will cover you with it like the most warm, cozy blanket and you will feel safe. Does that sound like something you want? I know I do. Call on Him today, and see how He will take care of you, because He loves you so. Feel His love today, you will understand.
