To My Husband

You are to me

A blessing you see

My heart is in your hand

And you are in command

But you are so very gentle with me

And the love we have is amazingly free

It binds our hearts tightly together

Giving us strength for the storms we weather

As we stay steadfast in what we believe

The closer we grow in intimacy

You are the whisper in my heart

With me even when we are apart

No distance could change that

And I promise, that’s a fact!

You are my always and forever…

Never forget that ever!

All Around

God’s way of allowing us to see
He shows us the world
And then we see even more
We look at everything in a new way
This is how we feel HIS love
Stop today
Watch it all go by
See the beauty of God
All He created
Feel the love all around
Even the earth and its sound
Hear it and believe
The Father is truth
And HE loves you and me
Move towards Him
And things will change
Your life will be full and
You will love in the extreme!
That’s who God is
And it’s who He wants you to be!

The Ultimate Love

My husband is the most amazing person I know. He loves me no matter what. He encourages me in all my endeavors. He works so I can go to school, yet again. Now ladies, how many of you have an amazing man like this in your life. Well, I am beyond thankful every day for this man, whom I call my husband, in my life, every day!
Our spouses, the loves of our lives, are not just happen chance. Or at least that’s what I believe. I am confident that God has a hand in all of our life meetings. The key is how we respond to them. If we respond, then the relationship has a chance to grow. In each growth opportunity, there is a relational exchange and an opportunity for love to be shared and received, whether on a friendship level or even more. God is so amazing! And not only that, He wants His children to feel and experience love, on all levels…

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:10-11 (NASB)

The love of another is definitely a blessing from God. In fact, He loves us no matter what, even if we don’t choose to love Him back. But, we even are afforded the opportunity to be loved by other humans, well this seems to inspire in who we are and give us self-worth in the world. We so appreciate the love of our Maker. But it is still evident that the most amazing of these, aside from the ultimate, unconditional love of God the Father, is the love of another human.
This kind of love is something that shows us how lovable we are in a moment. I think in this moment of a beautiful song being played on the piano with each of the keys hitting a place deep down in the soul… This is, to me, the ultimate in the love between humans… The connection, almost as a song connects with someone on that spiritual level, beyond worldly dimensions. Human love, even in its “humanness” reaches into other realms when it is true. It reaches the spiritual realm when it is of the Lord. In this realm there is the presence of the marriage covenant before the Lord God, and thus the spiritual realm from its conception.
Even though we as humans seek the human connection and ultimately the human love, we are made for the love of God. Until we are filled with His love, we will not be truly satisfied.

6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:6 (NASB)

So, seek The love of the Father first and be thankful for all of the other love He allows into your life. This is one of the many ways He has of loving you

Love is the essence of GOD. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Cats Are Part of the Family Too…

I cried for my babies tonight. And it wasn’t the first time. But it was probably the biggest cry, if I had to measure it. The biggest cry for them ever over the many years that I have been their mama…

My youngest Mica, who follows me around like a dog, finally sat in my lap tonight. She is so stubborn and wants to do what she wants to do. As most cats do. All of you cat owners feel my pain. But, that is one of the characteristics that draws us to them… These beautiful, loving and loyal furry animals who become part of our family.

Jazzi is 10 years old and we have had her as part of the family since she was @ 6 months old. Mica is the baby. She is just 7, and we have had her since the mere age of 6 weeks, when she was weened from her mother.

These two beauties have been my babies for many years and I am heartbroken at the thought of having to let them go.

But GOD has spoken in this journey He is sending me on. HE wants me to be mobile. That’s the word He has given me and well, cats don’t make that possible. So, the Father who loves my babies more than I love them, already has a plan. I just need to figure it out.

That doesn’t mean I won’t shed tears for my beautiful girls whom I love so very much!!! And again I cry as I look at them and I think about how much I love them.

Anyone who has had a cat understands that they are there when you need them. Mine tend to to stay by me at the exact moments that I feel most alone. It’s almost like they sense it and they stick by you because, well, regardless of what dog lovers might say, this furry felines love us and they want us to be ok. To me, this is an amazing thing because, there have been many times where even when I felt alone, I really wasn’t, because my furry babies were there for me!

This is the biggest reason why I am struggling with letting them go.

I love them so much and how will I live without them???

The answer…

The same way I live without my husband who I will see maybe monthly instead of weekly and my daughter who I might see every other week instead of every other day… With the help of God.

With the help of the God who has sent me on this adventure that is leading me to California, where I know no one and will be by myself, almost completely, I still know that the Father will be there with me as I draw closer to Him than I have ever been!!! In this new season, my God will help me be strong in Him and thus go forth walking in the calling He has placed on my life. God will equip me and enable me to move forward even in the midst of loss. I will be stronger because of it!

In experiencing these two beautiful animals, my life has been enhanced and changed forever! Thank you Lord God for allowing me to love and be loved by these two beautiful girls. I just pray that their remaining years will be full of love.

Trials God’s Way…

Challenges come every day. That is in fact what life is all about. It is documented in the Bible by many and it all comes back to the same thing, challenges come every day.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4 (NASB)

In fact, we are told that these trials make us stronger, draw us closer to God and make us more like Him even. Hum… That’s a thought to meditate on…
The trials make us stronger and more like God the Father.
That’s really good, because you know what? It is so true! You know why?
Well, as we are in a trial and we call out to the Father, what does He do? Well, for me, He usually gives me words that guide, comfort and essentially love me. My Lord guides and loves me in a moment that might not be “love-worthy”.
WOW… And honestly, that’s the best I can say.
In that moment when I feel so unworthy and so unlovable, God, the Creator of the Universe, loves me.

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5 even when we were dead [fn]in our transgressions, made us alive together [fn]with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:4-7 (NASB)

HE loves me even when I fall.
That is truly amazing. Because we as humans will often turn away from each other in those moments. But, not God. He loves us anyway.
So, my challenge to you and to myself is to choose to love anyway. Forgive and forget. Move forward. Look for the lovability in everyone. Because God sees it. And as you become more like Him, walking in the calling He has placed on your life, you will see it too and love like He does, without abandon, unconditionally.

The Peace Inside…

As The wind blows across my face

I still wonder… Is this my place?
The happiness comes and goes

And the sadness still flows
Will it ever go away…

Will I ever go the right way?
I look into the sky

As a lone clouds slowly moves by
The answers are still unknown

But I know I am not alone
And with that

I feel a certain peace inside
Now I smile

As the bad feelings slowly subside

Each day

Is another way

To walk though life

And love along the way

Smile at someone

Never be done

Always look for more

And find someone to adore

The beauty all around

Is for us to simply enjoy

God’s masterpiece is what we are

To Him we are a bright shining star

Beautiful And lovely to Him

And not just on a whim

As His children, we die never

Since His love for us is forever
