About

my family

Hi! I am Irene. I am a mother and wife. And my blessings, though they are truly many, there are three that stand in the forefront and allow me to stand back each day and praise the Father for who HE is and how much HE loves me!

My husband and I have been married for 9 1/2 years. Truly a second chance for us both to love as a husband and wife should. God is one who restores relationships, especially marriages. Oh how our Father believes in the covenant of marriage!  I thank God for second chances and for the man that HE brought into my life 14 years ago. This man, saved me from myself and showed me that I did mean something and I had a purpose in life. He is truly one of my blessings from the Father, my best friend and the love of my life!

I have two girls, Virginia “Ginny” Marie and Kaysi Marie. Ginny is an amazing young woman who I gave birth to when I was 20 and unmarried. In an effort to give her a good life, one she truly deserved, I gave her up for adoption. Though, I have never regretted or questioned this choice, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. As I look at her and the life she has lived and all she has accomplished in her 25 years, it was the best thing I could have done for her. Her adoptive parents gave her everything I wanted for her and more… and she bloomed! Moreover, when she was 13 we met again, by her choice, and have been able to build a relationship over the years. I was not sure that day in the hospital when I said goodbye to that beautiful baby that I would ever see her again. God blessed me!!!

Kaysi is my beauty from my first marriage. She was a miracle and a gift from God. She still amazes me even now! Often we hear that our children will teach us some of the most important things in life. I believe this is so true! Watching my daughter Kaysi during the last 18 years of her life and remembering moments, I have learned how to love, unconditionally, and to take each moment, no matter how small, and cherish it forever. Even though Kaysi is now married, as of July, she will always be a light in my life as she is to so many. Her life has changed me and continues to each day as I watch her become more and more beautiful.

As for who I am and why I blog…?  I am a child of God and I pray I can be someone who loves like God loves. In my writing, I desire to share hope and life experiences that will encourage and inspire others. Everyone needs to know that they are loved, even when they might not feel it. God the Father is always there with His love, waiting to give it to us… we just have to let Him.

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.   Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

“God waits for you to communicate with Him. You have instant, direct access to God. God loves mankind so much, and in a very special sense His children, that He has made Himself available to you at all times.”       Wesley L. Duewel

    1. Hi Laurie! Thanks for reading. I a trying to be more vulnerable and keep the “mask off” so people can see the real me. God keeps telling me to let people see me. And I have a heart, a passion for others and letting them see love and hope in themselves and the world around them. ☺️
